The Australian Consulate-General has authority to perform certain Notarial Acts in accordance with various Australian Federal and State legislation.

While this service is generally available from 0900 to 1600 Monday to Friday we encourage prospective clients to make an appointment by telephoning 222 8281 during business hours as the Consular staff members legally able to provide the service may not be available and you could encounter delays in receiving service. Except in rare circumstances a Consular Officer will be available to assist you between the hours of 0900 and 1200 Monday to Friday. Be sure to bring with you identification which shows your current name and signature and a recent photograph. A passport or drivers licence would normally be sufficient.

A service fee, dependant on the service you require, will be charged in United States Dollars. You can request the amount that will be charged when making an appointment but should note that as the fee is set by legislation in Australian dollars the US dollar fee could change on the 1st day of each month based on prevailing exchange rates. Fees can only be paid by cash.
